Maeve (Beckwith) Davis BSc (Hons)

I graduated from Salford University in 2006 with an honours degree in Prosthetics and Orthotics, and since then I have worked in the UK within the NHS in busy London clinics, including the world-renowned Queen Mary’s Hospital in Roehampton.

I have a broad range of clinical experience in all aspects of Orthotics and have treated a large variety of conditions including diabetes, arthritis, spinal injuries, neuromuscular conditions and rheumatology.

I have also spent time in Haiti providing Prosthetic and Orthotic care following the devastating earthquake in 2010.

I am a member of the British Association of Prosthetists and Orthotists (BAPO) and I am also registered with the UK Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

Having completed a number of marathons, I have a keen interest in sports orthotics and biomechanics and wear insoles to successfully treat a painful knee complaint!

Hodson Bay Orthotics is an established Orthotic practice, set up to provide private orthotic care in the midlands and surrounding areas. At Hodson Bay Orthotics we can provide Orthotic care to an extremely high standard within a friendly environment and can offer flexible appointment times.

Ethos

To adhere to a strict code of conduct and ethics, as laid down by BAPO. The needs of the patient will always be the priority, ensuring that the patient receives the highest level of care possible. To recognise when orthotic treatment is not appropriate for the patient is also a priority.
